PRESS RELEASE

KU Resources, Inc. named Best Places to Work in PA 2011

KU Resources has been named one of the Best Places to Work in PA for 2011.  The company will be honored at the Best Places to Work in PA awards banquet on Thursday, December 1, at the Lancaster County Convention Center in Lancaster, PA.  Rankings will be revealed at the ceremony.

The Best Places to Work in PA program was designed to identify, recognize, and honor the best places to be employed in Pennsylvania, benefiting the state's economy, its workforce, and businesses.  Employers are categorized based upon the total number of employees they have in the United States, 25 to 249 employees and 250 or more employees.  The complete list of the 2011 Best Places to Work in PA award recipients can be found at www.bestplacestoworkinpa.com and at www.centralpennbusiness.com.

The survey process consists of two parts:  the first part assesses the company’s policies, practices, philosophies, systems, and demographics.  The second part determines employee satisfaction through an employee survey.  The combined score determines which companies rank among the Best Places to Work in PA.

The awards program, created in 2000, is one of the first statewide programs of its kind in the country.  The program is a public/private partnership between Team Pennsylvania Foundation, the Pennsylvania Department of Community and Economic Development, the Pennsylvania State Council of the Society for Human Resource Management, and the Central Penn Business Journal.  In addition to the public/private partnership, the program is supported by the following organizations:  Lead Sponsor—Team Pennsylvania Foundation; Presenting Sponsors—ParenteBeard, LLC and Wells Fargo; Major Sponsors—Capital BlueCross; Comcast Business Class; Global HR Research; and Saul Ewing, LLP.
